www.uba.org 12 T he Utah Bankers Association has bestowed its highest honor, “The Distinguished Banker Award,” on LeeAnne B. Linder- man, Executive Vice President of Enterprise Retail Banking for Zions Bancorporation, in recognition of her active leadership in Utah’s and the nation's banking industry and her exceptional community service. The presentation was made at the Associa- tion’s Annual Convention. Ms. Linderman was hired by Zions in 1992 as an assistant vice president responsible for the development of in-store banking programs for Zions Bancorporation, with direct management responsibility for 45 locations in Utah and Idaho. She also provided support to bank presidents in Nevada and Colorado for an additional 28 locations. In 1999, she was named senior vice president of branch banking in Zions Bank’s Retail Banking Division. LeeAnne advanced through the ranks to become exec- utive vice president of Retail, Omnichannel and Home Finance at Zions Bank, where she was responsible for a network of 125 re- tail branch offices in Utah and Idaho. In June of 2015, LeeAnne became executive vice president of Enterprise Retail Banking at Zions Bancorporation which has grown to a $57 billion-in-assets bank holding company operating under local management teams and community identities in 11 western and southwestern states. Linderman has a history of service to the banking industry. She became the first woman Chair of the Utah Bankers Association in 2009, serving on the board for a total of 6 years. In everything she does, LeeAnne encourages top performance. She mentors all, but is especially passionate about advocating for and helping women advance in their careers. In 2006 she persuaded the UBA board to create the first Women in Banking Conference. It now has an attendance of over 250 women who come together to develop their skills for advancement into management positions. Ms. Linderman has been frequently recognized the American Bank Magazine as one of the most powerful women in bank- ing, last year ranked as no. 4 in the nation on the magazine's list of the 25 women to watch. She is an indefatigable community volunteer, serving on the boards of the American Heart Asso- ciation, Neighborhood Housing Service, the Utah Food Bank, Urban Central Region board of Intermountain Healthcare, and in many board leadership roles with the United Way of Salt Lake. LeeAnne and her husband Chris recently founded Veteran Moth- ers, Inc., a not-for-profit organization which provides housing for homeless women veterans and their children. n LeeAnne B.
