The Associa- tion educates members of the community about building healthier lives free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke, which assists them in preventing and winning the battle against heart disease. Throughout the month of February 2016, with the assis- tance of bank employees, customers and vendors, a grand total of $3,068 was raised and presented to the local chap- ter of the American Heart Association after the event’s completion. We warmly thank everyone who was involved and contributed toward our efforts to raise funds this year. Giving back to the community is part of what defines Brighton Bank as “Your Local Community Bank.” COMENITY CAPITAL BANK Employees of Comenity Capital Bank in Salt Lake City are committed to their community. Here are a couple of the activities that they have been involved with: Junior Achievement Comenity Capital Bank employees volunteer at Lincoln Elementary School downtown in Salt Lake City and teach Junior Achievement to grades K-6. The subjects that are taught have real life application that will help the students and their families learn and implement money manage- ment skills. It has been fun for the bank employees to teach and interact with the children at Lincoln Elementary. When the sessions are over, the employees always have a better appreciation for education and what teachers do on a daily basis, and they have developed great friendships with the children.
