KEYBANK DONATES MORE THAN 12,000 BOOKS TO LOCAL SCHOOLS & NONPROFITS This spring, KeyBank donated more than 12,000 books to local elementary schools so that kids in grades K-6 could practice reading during summer break. Numerous Utah based nonprofits received hundreds of books to support their community endeavors, as well. KeyBank customers donated books at all 38 area KeyBank branches, which were then delivered to low-income schools in local neigh- borhoods by KeyBank employees. The book drive was part of Neighbors Make The Differ- ence Day, KeyCorp’s annual day of community service in local neighborhoods. In Utah, KeyBank employees volunteered at 10 organizations, which included install- ing smoke detectors with the American Red Cross in Salt Lake, helping with trail maintenance and landscaping at Red Barn Farms in Davis County, painting at Youth Impact in Ogden, and delivering books and reading to chil- dren at various schools throughout the area. This year marked the 26th anniversary of Neighbors Make the Difference Day, which is the hallmark of Key’s commitment to its communities and a leading corporate volunteerism effort in America.
