TOWN & COUNTRY BANK TOWN & COUNTRY BANK LANDS “BOSS” AWARD St. George-based Town & Country Bank was expecting to leave the May 18 Best of State gala in Salt Lake with the medal for banking. But not only did Town & Country collect that award, judges announced that that the Best of State Statue (BOSS) for the entire field of Business Services was also being awarded to the bank. Town & Country topped all 37 business medalists for the highest Best of State honor. Business Services categories include accounting, advertising, banking, insurance, real estate ser- vices, financial and investment advisory services, commer- cial construction, data services, health care facilities, and dozens of others. Town & Country has won a string of awards over the last 14 months, includ- ing Top Utah SBA 7(a) Lender (small bank category), WIB Community Banker of the Year, ICBA Community Bank- er of the Year-Western Region, Utah Business CEO of the Year, Web Market- ing Association Best Online Newsletter, Utah Nonprofits Association Outstand- ing Community Partner and Bauer Financial Five Star Rating. GEORGE RESIDENTS TREATED TO TOWN & COUN- TRY’S SECOND ANNUAL COMMUNITY APPRECIA- TION EVENT More than 1,000 people turned out for Town & Country Bank’s Second Annual Community Appreciation event held on May 6 in the large parking area behind the bank. The Friday lunch hour celebration featured a free concert by Grammy Award-winner, Diamond Rio, as well as doz- ens of prize drawings. Diamond Rio played for just over an hour, to the delight of the multitude, performing all their fan favorites. Prizes were given away before and after the performance—most of them donated by area businesses. The First Annual Community Appreciation Event last year was headlined by Grammy winner Collin Raye, and it was also well attend- ed. Town & Country will hold another community apprecia- tion event next year.
