ENERBANK USA ENERBANK CEO: CONTRACTORS PROVIDING FINANC- ING CHOICES CAN SEE 30% SALES INCREASE IN HOME IMPROVEMENT RECOVERY Latest Harvard Report Predicts “Strong and Stable” Growth in Home Renovation, Repair Spending in 2017 In his response to Harvard University’s Leading Indicator of Remodeling Activity (LIRA) report, released recently, EnerBank USA President & CEO Charles Knadler said contractors who provide a choice of payment options to all of their customers could see up to 30 percent growth in sales—or more—during an industrywide increase in home improvement spending. The report by the Remodeling Futures Program at Harvard’s Joint Center for Housing Studies said home improvement and repair ex- penditures will “remain elevated” throughout 2017, with spending levels ending the year up 6.7 percent at $317 billion. “The real question now is not whether consumers are going to re- model or repair, but which contractor they will choose for the job,” Knadler said. “As past experience has shown, contractors who can offer a choice of a same-as-cash loan and a loan with low monthly payments will get the lion’s share of new business. Many consumers will choose financing that is easier and faster to get than home equity loans and less expensive than high interest credit cards.” ENERBANK USA LAUNCHES SECUREMOBILE LOAN APP TO OFFER EVENGREATER CONVENIENCE AND FASTER CREDIT DECISION TIMES Offers Contractors, Homeowners Another Convenient Loan Application Option in Financing Projects While Retaining Full Access to Bank’s High Quality Support and Service EnerBank USA launched a mobile loan app to provide another convenient— and highly secure—choice in applying for its myriad of home improvement loans. The EnerBank Mobile App, available for iOS and Android devices, is built with a state-of-the-art credit engine that reduces credit decision time to less than a minute, while still providing full access to EnerBank’s quality lenders for consumers preferring to work with a live professional. EnerBank will also continue to offer its loan-by-phone application for those consumers and home improvement contractors that prefer this delivery process. The bank anticipates that contractors will provide their customers with a choice of mobile loan app and loan- by-phone; then let them decide which one works best. Security is Key - To protect EnerBank’s customers and to meet the requirements of banking regulations, the app secures all data using secure, modern encryption. In addition, the app will immediately delete the applicant’s data from the mobile device once the applica- tion is submitted. A highly respected cyber security specialist con- ducted a third-party application security test verifying EnerBank’s security capabilities. Availability - iOS and Android versions are available for download in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. FIRST NATIONAL BANK FIRST NATIONAL BANK OPENS ITS DOORS TO LOCAL SCOUT TROOPS First National Bank has opened the doors of its historic Main Branch building to local scout troops working on their Citizenship in the Nation merit badge. One of the requirements for this merit badge is for the scouts to "visit a place that is listed as a National Historic Landmark or that is on the National Register of Historic Places". The bank's Main Branch building, located on the corner of Main and Gentile in Layton, is one of those historic places. The bank offers free tours of the building to interested scout troops, showing them historical artifacts while teaching about the basics of banking along the way. In a day and age when banking is largely transacted through mobile channels, visits to a physical branch are few and far between. These historic tours give the scouts insight into the evolution of banking and how things are run in the "back office". Troops are welcome to schedule a free tour by contacting the bank's Business Development Officer, Brady Stratton; 801-813-1729 or brady@fnbutah.com .
