www.uba.org 20 2017 CRA CONFERENCE C RA professionals from across the state of Utah gathered September 9 at the Tower at Rice-Eccles Stadium for the 2017 UBA Community Reinvestment Conference, in a setting designed to meet with regulators and industry experts to network, discuss challenges and share experiences. The agenda included sessions on “Demographic Trends and Housing Needs” presented by Pam Perlich and Jim Wood from the University of Utah; “Envision Utah” with Rob- ert Grow; and “CRA Opportunities” presented by Karen Crompton from Salt Lake City, Kathy Hale with Ally Bank and LuAnn Clark, UCNS. Also addressing the group on the issue of “Homelessness and Utah’s Housing Shortage” were Mayor Jackie Biskupski and her Deputy Chief of Staff David Litvack. The day culminated with the popular and always anticipated Regulator Panel where representatives from the Federal Re- serve, FDIC and the State of Utah provided their unique in- sights on current CRA trends and participated in an in-depth discussion on the recently released Interagency Q&As. n
