www.uba.org 27 2 7 Mark Packard was promoted to President of Central Bank—he previously served as Senior Executive Vice President. Packard has worked in the banking industry for over 30 years and has amassed a wealth of knowledge and experience in banking. Packard has served in many capacities at Central Bank; his diverse experience and affable demeanor will greatly benefit the customers and employees of Central Bank. Matt Packard has served as Bank President and CEO of Central Bank since 2001. As of this year, Packard has stepped down as Bank President, but retained the title of CEO. Packard has worked in the banking industry for over 42 years, making him a remarkable source of knowledge and a veteran in the Utah banking community. Ed Sanches was promoted to Senior Vice Pres- ident at Central Bank. Sanches has been the Office Manager of Central Bank’s Orem Office since 2010. Along with his expertise in bank- ing, Sanches has worked hard to compile a great knowledge of commercial lending that will bene- fit both of his roles at Central Bank: Office Manager and Senior Vice President. Jeff Simonsen has been promoted to Senior Vice President at Central Bank. Simonsen previously served as Office Manager in both the bank’s Orem and Provo offices. With such extensive leadership roles and banking expertise, Simonsen will contribute greatly in his new role as Senior Vice President. Matt Simonsen was promoted to Assistant Manager of Central Bank’s Payson Office. Simonsen has extensive knowledge of commercial lending and will be a great asset to Central Bank in Payson and the surrounding areas. Brannen Trost has been appointed Assistant Manager of Central Bank’s newest office at Traverse Mountain. Trost has worked at Central Bank in various roles since 1998. He became a Commercial Loan Officer in 2005 and was later promoted to Assistant Manager of the Pleasant Grove office in 2008. With a great understanding of how Central Bank operates, Trost will be a wonderful asset in supporting the growth of Central Bank’s newest office. Brian Young has been appointed by Bank of Utah to serve as area manager in the locally-owned bank’s mortgage office in St. George, Utah. Young has served more than 10 years in the mortgage industry in positions such as division manager for Patriot Home Mortgage and as an account manager for MGIC.
