George Daines, chairman of Cache Valley Bank, was recognized as the 2025 Distinguished Banker at the 117th Annual UBA Convention on June 24, 2025.

The Distinguished Banker Award — first presented in 1985 — is given periodically to a Utah banker who makes a lasting impact on his or her institution, community and the banking industry. Daines — who accepted the award with his wife, Mindy — is the 29th recipient of the UBA’s highest honor.

During his 40+ years guiding Cache Valley Bank, Daines has driven incredible growth, expanding the bank throughout the state and into Idaho, while also leaving an indelible mark on his beloved Cache Valley.
